Verronneau is the owner/editor of Grand Explorer,
an internet-based travel magazine offering
information on the best travel options available
today based on over 45 years of personal traveling
experience.
Personally,
Francine has been in the travel industry for over 40
years. Acting as general manager with many large
travel firms for many years before establishing Grand Explorer. She has been on over
125 cruises worldwide and been to over 110 countries in
her extensive travel career.
In her own words.......
"When
I started my career I was fortunate to have as my
first employer, Mr. Peter Ueberroth, the organizer
of the Los Angeles Summer Olympics, and subsequent
baseball commissioner. Privately he owed a chain of
over 400 travel agencies across North America called
"Ask Mr. Foster Travel", and I managed his
Montreal branch for many years. His guidance in
respects to offering only quality products and
exceptional service is one I still follow today.
Travel
has always been my passion and I have touched on
every aspect of this fascinating industry: travel
agency management; wholesale travel; corporate
travel planner; group cruise coordinator, coach tour operator; hotel sales
manager and convention planner.
In addition, I managed the federal Government travel
office based at Foreign Affairs in Ottawa, Canada
with an annual travel budget of 200 million. I
have been a guest speaker on a few television travel
shows for CTV such as "Travel Travel".
Acting as a travel editor
and avid photographer for several newspapers
in North America for many years I enjoy writing as a
freelance travel writer as well as editor of Grand
Explorer."

phone so I can usually call you back within
a few minutes. My clients are my livelihood
so I need to be accessible when my clients
